Exhaust manifold in engine bay leaking.
Either way, it should be easy to find what is causing it rather than just changing bits.
Thanks - is that something they'd likely have spotted while replacing the cat or could they have missed it?Either way, it should be easy to find what is causing it rather than just changing bits.
The cat and silencer did genuinely need replacing anyway, I was just hoping that was also where the fumes were coming from but apparently not!

Unfortunately, if you just went into your local fast fit centre, and told them you need a new exhaust, they will have done just that, so no, they may easily have missed it, if that is the problem.
