So I have what looks like a sensor of some kind to the left of the rear view mirror. It has a green light shining from it. Any one know what it is?

If it's on the bottom of the wing mirror with a switch to turn it on off I think it is the sensor that puts your headlights on and off depending on light conditions , I believe well known for not working , unless some one corrects me on the above

I believe it's for the auto dim rear view mirror, seems to do that on mine anyhow.

I ask the same question many moons ago and the man in the know back then said it's nothing more than a interior light

Ah, misread that initially - yes, the light to the left of the rear view is just an interior light. The one on the rear view indicates the auto dim rear view mirror is active.
