BCM Body Control Module Issues (Wire harness chaffing)
Discussion
Thought id start a new thread relevant to the title in case anyone searches later.
I just refitted headers to the car after dropping the steering rack, all was well until headlights switched off with all sorts of other electrical activity from under the dash/ steering column. I think i may have come across the issue, there seems to be an issue with the BCM wiring harness chaffing and cutting into the loom.

I've been looking under the steering column at mine this evening, i pulled open the panel and can see the fuse panel no problem, i can't see the BCM yet, may well be just an issue with the gto thou if it's in a different location
More on it here. https://kecreation.wordpress.com/2011/04/20/4/
Tonight all my lights are functioning again

I've had my BCM out to fix a sticking relay - see instructions here:More on it here. https://kecreation.wordpress.com/2011/04/20/4/

The pdf linked in that thread is for a RHD car. The BCM is mounted vertically, apparently different to the LHD pics in your link. From memory, I had to lie on my back with my head in the driver's footwell to get to it, and it's a bugger to remove.
Also worth considering that the harness chafing that affects LHD cars may not affect RHD cars.
Seems I may found my harness fault, got a P0158, P0156 and P0689 I've now got a short on the rear O2 signal wire in the harness with the ignition switched on, the voltage jumps about when I wiggl the harness behind the engine between the bulk head, not sure I can pull the harness out of the way after disconnecting everything.
