Who can fit a 3.9 rear differential to my Monaro these days? It's always felt over geared with the 3.46, I want to liven up the acceleration. Can anybody recommend somebody in the South east? Thanks in advance.

Can't help with the SE, but Walkinshaw apparently have 3.9s ready built on the shelf for a drive in, drive out service.

If you fit tyres with a skinnier sidewall you'd have a simple route to the same result. It's easy to calculate the effective gearing change just by comparing the rolling radius. Obviously you could go down a wheel diameter instead if you're concerned about poor ride quality with skinny tyres.

Don't forget that whichever route you choose you may need to bear in mind the impact on accuracy of your speedometer reading.

Walkinshaw would flash the ecu, well the speedo cluster actually, to account for the difference. I think its built into the price.

I believe a phone call to be the best contact, apparently emails are rarely responded to.
