My turn to ask a stupid question.....

Can anyone tell me what the green light is for which is on top of the windscreen, just to the left of the rear view mirror, pointing downwards?
I was trying like hell to locate the twist lock on the passenger mat after cleaning it (that's another question for later!) when I looked up and saw it shining on me. It doesn't seem to do anything but is always on, and now I know it's there it's just eating away at me all the time I'm driving!!

It is an 'accent' light which is designed to highlight the dash arctitecture at night!!!
