Another proud new owner...
I have been procrastinating for a while about buying a Monaro. I took a blue 04 CV8 out for a test drive earlier in the year and loved the power, speed and comfort.
My head was asking, what about the insurance, fuel, tires and all those dull things. My heart was yearning for petrol to be running through my veins once again.
I bottled it and decided not to get one. For some strange reason I kept on checking autotrader, ebay and others to see what ones were up for sale at the moment. It seemed like I hadn’t fully accepted the decision I had made?
Luckily I am not too stubborn I have seen the error of my ways and today I picked up this little beauty:
It is a 04 VXR production number 54. I wasn’t sure about the dark chrome wheels but seeing it in the flesh changed my mind.
The thing is, I never new that the accelerator is connected to a large syringe full of adrenalin. The best thing is it doesn’t seem to run out.
It is absolutely fantastic.
So expect to see me at the next meeting you have. I live near Cambridge (UK) so if there is anyone local then give me a shout.
Regards,
Richard.

Yeah, must say.... I love it!!! Having owned Julian's ex beast (pending court battle for custody on weekends
).. for almost a week now, I can say, man, the commodore doesn't even compare any more, and I thought it was a lovely car. (still is). All I can say is that everyone up here loves it... except for maybe the neighbours at midnight, but hey, that can't be helped. It is truely amazing at the difference, the monaro is SO rock solid it is amazing.
Anyhow, welcome mate... going to have to attend a couple of sad events, so that I can adjust to not having a smile on my face permanently.

You won't regret taking the plunge
That's one gorgeous car, exactly the model I'd have bought back in 2004 if I'd had the extra £7k. Might one enquire as to how much folding you parted with?
