Sounds like a sad tale.
According to someone I spoke to recently it might have just been a marketing gimmic to attract attention.
I think Caspy? reported they were doing the Ute but no plans for the sedan or coupe.
My hope is that the old omega is replaced with the new VE Commodore with the new direct injection HF-V6 3.6L and Vauxhall do the same thing with the V8 sedans that they now do with the Monaro. Hopefully the SS or SV8 will be the CV8 equivalent and the HSV Clubsport or GTS will be the VXR equivalent.
Whether thats likely or not time (or StuartH) will tell.
