What a pain in the ars*! 40 miles from home and lost all drive. Did the remainder of the trip with my head hung in shame, sitting in a recovery truck and the GTS on the back!

nae luck but look on the bright side, now you've got a good excuse to replace it with something better

There is that I suppose. However the rip shifter and wortec exhaust I had planned for this month are out of the window for now! No wheels for a few weeks as the kit has to come from Aus being an iron block.

you tried LSV - they appear to carry plenty of bits in stock and with them importing cars there's a chance they may have spares for your particular model.

Spoke to LSV righ after I broke down. Being an iron block and built right at the point of change to VT2 there are lots of little quirks so will strip the thing out and have a look for a number etc.

Doug at LSV has been great, he had a dig around but it turned out to be fruitless.
Duncan at Wortec has been great too, a realy big help, can't thank him enough.

The joys of rare cars!

I have decided to upgrade the whole lot since it's gone so am looking at an Exedy HD unit. Not a lot of change from £1000 and that's with me doing the work myself.

I think if he had just gone stock it would have been about $400OZ plus shipping.
Aftermarket is a good idea if you like to lean on it a little.
