Yep, done that Dan but I floored it in first too (though I was just 'rolling')...wasn't looking at the clock but I THINK I got 50mph in 1st &...again I THINK...80mph in 2nd. Gave up then 'cos I ran out of road but you're dead right, it DOES just keep pulling all the way through!
Good luck with the GCSE's - let's know how you think you did!!! Tell your mum to check her emails!!!

Hi chaps,
After watching loads of 1/8 miles and 0-60 stuff today at the Rockingham Ring. I have to say 7.2 sec 0-100 is very very impressive.
Best today was a Ford Escort Cosy with about 4.45 sec 0-60 and that shifted. Non of the Skylines/Scooby's were near that mark. A friend in a Nissan Micro got 9.5 I think (fun car and seriously modded) which is not bad for a 1.2L engine.
Cheers
Steven

Speed based on my 1/8th miles, so its almost an estimate.
1/8th was 7.46 secs to 102.95mph.
I might make it over to Avon Park, and maybe also Santa Pod this weekend.
Still havent decided if I'm happy with my new setup yet
Stevie,
Are you happy with your axle arrangement? I've had several people praising your launch times.
Boosted.
My launches are consistent, but still nowhere near what they should be.
As yet, my best 60ft is something like 1.92s, so still room for improvement. I'd like to see that drop closer to 1.8s consistently with the right tyres, and a good track.
Avon park last year was the first time I actually tried to lauch it with any degree of force, and it felt pretty good.
I had always been hesitent before, as normally it goes up in smoke quite easily. The Nitto tyres I bought, are also working pretty well, although I'll get a stickier set of tyres later this year.

Autocar (06/02/2002) timed my S/C VX GTS at 4.6secs 0-60 @ 10.0secs. 0-100 The car had just been modded. & was dynoed @502bhp which with later improvements was increased by a further 40bhp. Although I doubt thet the 0-60 time could be improved upon by more than 0.1 or 0.2 secs. due to traction. I think the 0-100 time was probably a bit quicker after the improvements.
Most importantly though the car was incredibly docile & easy to drive for everyday/business motoring, a great combination.
