Hi,
I live in the USA and I have a 2005 Pontiac GTO and I am trying to find rainguards (ventshades) for it. Does anyone know of a site where I can find some parts for my car? What does everyone think of this car? Thanks!

Hi and welcome

Rainguards aren't popular in the UK. Only tend to appear here on unofficial Japanese imports. I've had a Google around and can see your problem. GTO's just aren't catered for.

The Monaro is awesome. Nothing else here comes close for the money. My '06 5.7l is uprated to about 410bhp (350 stock) with a catback, no mid-mufflers, straight through tail boxes, Green cloth air filter and re-map.

Hey Thanks for your response. I can't really find any parts for my car here in the U.S. Maybe someone will come along and have some suggestions.
Manero's-Gto's seem to be semi-popular here but the performance is totally awesome. 400 Hp stock. They just don't look like the rest of our fancy sports cars but it is the best hidden secret if you ask me. Bet your car can fit in here even though you drive on the wrong side....LOL.

rainguards?? Are they like taxi drivers use on their drivers windows???
They do exist if that is what you mean.....although thinking about it the Monaro has a longer door than the sedan I believe. I know they exist for the ute. Monaro must exist too surely.

I always wondered why rainguards are not used in the UK of all places! Good kit.

I had some on my Landrover Defender and they were awesome.

When it's raining, you can't have the Monaro window cracked open 1/2 inch without a flood coming in.

they are available for the monaro - I came across a site with them the other day by chance. Don't ask me where exactly but I have a feeling it was an ad on the ls1 site.

I wonder how much they cost on the old MPG. Probably not worth worrying about but they do look a bit naff IMHO. My advice, save up and get air conditioning.

You would think they would have fitted it as standard in the states!? Even in this rain soaked country the most basic of heaps comes with A/C.
