Window adjustment ?
Discussion
Due to some low life
i recently had to have a new drivers door glass and RA Navigator! I was only out of the car 5 minutes and it is annoying to know thieves were waiting with the tools to break in at what i used to think was a nice lawn tennis club!
It happened on a Friday and many thanks to the RAC for replacing it on the Monday, they keep 1 in stock.
I have noticed a slight increase in wind noise since and the window appears to stop 2-3mm lower than the passenger side!
It goes into the top rubber seal strip but not quite as high as the passenger side.
The replacement appears to be exactly the same as original and comes with the front and rear edges and bottom fastenings pre-fitted.
I just wondered if there is a means of adjustment or not?

If the window is anything like other cars you will find if you take off door card that there is only 2or3 bolts holding window in place slacking these bolts and positioning window in correct position (with window in up position) you should be able to adjust into correct position then just tighten up bolts to retain glass in place. Hey Presto.
Or take it to dealer to sort it. (would advise dealer option as door cards can be an arse to remove without damage with incorrect tools)

on the door frame there is a little allen bolt and stop to stop the window from sliding out the top of the frame, its in the little slit in the rubber/felt near the top of the jamb opening edge.
Loosen this slightly and it will slide about 10mm either way. Adjust to the height necessary!
No worries guvnor

Thanks guys.
Removed and replaced the interior door trim complete, to remove all the broken glass prior to the replacement glass going in, so thats no problem if i need to do it again.
Sounds like Skinnyboy solution is the one to go for cos i was wondering what that allen bolt was for.
Cheers.
