You'll have a choice of whether to have loud or quieter pipes fitted.
Go for the loud option - you get the optional silencer boxes given to you as well to fit at some point if you wish.
It sounds great, drones a little in the cabin at 2000rpm under load but you do kind of get used to it after a while.

Yes, you go deaf or insane.... either way you get used to it
Also, you'll have to endure the Citroen Saxo boys parked in the PC World car park, saluting you every time you drive past

Mine doesn't drone too badly, but it does make my mobile resonate when its in my jeans pocket, and also any passenger's mobiles. I miss loads of calls because I tend to ignore it now (and I quite like the feeling
), but it still tickles me to see the passengers keep checking their phones

Only vibrations I seem to get are the increasingly annoying vibration coming from the passenger front seat, the dash and more recently the glove box, which seems to have changed shape in the heat. Oh....and all the crap in the centre console to include a few hundred pens, changed, chewing gum, migrane tablets and fag lighters.

Has anyone actually fitted the silencers? I was just wondering out of curiosity what the difference is.
Mine are quite happy sitting in the workshop, no chance of them going on!

yes, i put mine in last week as I had a migrane and the car was getting on my nerves.
its still pretty loud, still pops and bangs, but its like somebody has turned the volume down by 50% when you are inside the car.
bennno
I like the silencers.
It still has enough volume to say 'Don't mess', still pops on retardation and doesn't die away to nothing when you engage the clutch.
Underground carparks and tunnels are still fun, but heavily pregnant ladies don't go into spontaneous labour when I rumble by now.

Got the Sportpac on my '06 cv8. Loud option
No bother with courtesy light vibes, mobile thrills
etc. Mirror is fine.
If it drones, then
shift a gear! Sorted.
Which reminds me, heel & toe is a peach
on the Monaro. Pedals nicely spaced.
If you hold the mid mufflers up to the light, they're straight-thru, no nasty baffles, so I guess no power loss if fitted.
