Hey there northerner's. Who's up for the meet? Outside Toys-R-US at the metrocentre.

Was thinking what we could meet up before the meet, at say around 6:30-7:00, drive there, park up, stay for a little while, and then go out to dinner somewhere at 8? What does everyone else think?

I'm heading down for it early that day, probably going to stay over as well and do a little tour on the way back North the next day so I'll see you there. Can arrange to meet up a bit earlier assuming I can drag missus away from the shops

uhm I dunno - only been to Newcastle three times in my life - once to Ikea at the Metro Centre, once to a union meeting at the council offices and once to the airport. Can I suggest we make it somewhere easy to find on the outskirts of the city. I'll let you decide where as the "local".

What about at the airport? That would be easy.. Bit of a double back, but we could get a bit of a convoy going...

hmm sent it last night as an email through the forum. Wonder what went wrong? Oh well my number is 07738071060. Looking forward to tomorrow evening - just off out to give the car a quick scrub up, make it a bit more presentable. Knowing my luck it'll probably now rain all day tomorrow

btw is it just the two of us or is anyone else coming along to join us?

ok its nearly 11am and I'm finally on my way - hope it gets a bit brighter. So dark with storm clouds at the moment I'm probably going to need my lights on!!! Oh and I have actually got my mobile with me now Raggyman so I'll call you later on to arrange the meeting point.

cheers for the invite along Raggyman. Good to meet up and see the HSV version of the Monaro. Had a great drive back up today going all the back roads and taking in some "interesting" routes. Left Newcastle around 11am and took around 9hrs to get home with a few stops along the way - its just too tempting to find a longer way home. I don't know that were many roads in the borders we didnt drive along - just to see what it was like Will post a couple of photos of the meet tomorrow once I scrape half the wildlife off the front of the car.

Sweet, awesome.... was good to catch up.... that pub looked pretty awesome, but by the time we found it, they weren't serving food. Might go down and check it out on the weekend though.
