[L2VXR]

hi to all,
i,ve been browseing the forum for a while now and thought as i pick up L2VXR from the dealer tommorow i would join in
L2VXR is a 55plate 6.0l vxr monaro in phantom black (got to be the fastest colour),but i think i'll be paying some of the wedge back to the bank manager before i can do any mods.
On the insurance side i've just paid Admiral Insurance £679 for a multicar policy which allows me to keep my old Pug 306gti (group 15) as a work horse which i thought was a good deal (the monaro was £528 on its own).
So if you spot me cruisin around i'll be the one with the big grin on my face

The reggies are very tempting. BO55 got the plate I was offered from DRIVE when I bought my car. I ummed and ahhed about it for a few days too long. Take whatever plate you can while you got the chance. They are quickly taken!!

I know what you mean about pondering too long on a plate mose, found out GTS029 got the one I was looking at for the last month or so. You snooze, you lose I guess! H5V VT incidently, would have been nice.

The car is from Archie Moss of loughborogh they were asking £29999 for it but made them an offer of £27000 which they said "no way" so i walked away
4 weeks later get a phone call from the director (one of my old bosses) saying he's selling off Archie Moss to a new owner and i could have the car at the price i offered. he also ageed to throw in the number plate, a slightly early 10k service and fix anything i could pick fault with ie; stone chips and scuffed wheel.
im off to pick it up right now, update you all on the grin later

welcome aboard and as you said the black is absolutely the fastest colour so an excellent choice of car. Also what looks like an excellent deal on the pricing as well. Keep an eye on the thread re Donnington - if a space becomes available get your name down and come along meet everyone.
