Well there don't appear to be many Monaro's here in darkest North Wales, so two lonely owners decided to go to a pub car park..

Actually the Red 04 CV8 is Booster's old ride (now belongs to Paul-H) an extremely refined yet brutal piece of machinery. Had a small demo - I now want Headers!!

Same cars, just moved a couple of feet to my right - the budding photographer

We had a small amount of interest from some of the customers as well, apart from the guy who had problems walking in a straight line and nearly took my mirror off. But the comments about the cars were very complimentary.

We had an idea, that perhaps sometime, we could try to assemble a mini meet for the North Wales/Cheshire/Lanc owners? We could either try to get people to come and try out some of the roads we have here (Paul H will agree that we have some good roads here (EVO Triangle, Ogwen Valley etc), reasonable pubs - for a quick bite to eat) or we could meet in Cheshire somewhere (perhaps closer to home for some).

Would anybody be up for it if it could be arranged amongst us all up here (or any body from further down the counrty for that matter)?

Glad to see that we can count on you Steven.

I think that trying to get some of the N/West UK & N/Wales owners would be good. You see the other PH (Ok, we're HSV.org) regions (albeit TVR, Porsche etc) having regular meets with different locations and it's a good way to learn about the cars and get new ideas. It's what keeps ownership of these cars fresh and they always draw such a positive reaction from joe public when the cars show up in numbers.

The 04 CV8 is/was a credit to both Brian & Dan and Paul's caring for it very well!

There's a pm on it's way to you later Stephen.

How about a South Wales meet??

I'm in England (phew), but could muster a cross border raid if anyone else is interested?

Or am I the 'only Monaro in the village'??

Thanks Brian - I'm doing my best to keep it in the condition in which you worked so hard to get it in in the first place!

See you Dan on Sat - am looking forward to the drive down there too!

I wonder why Vauxhall never took the option to bring over the VXR in Yellow? Perhaps they thought it would never sell.

Yellow is either a colour that seems to be loved or loathed although I guess that can depend on what type of car is 'wearing' it..

Hi devilyellowcv8.
Have been meaning to contact you regarding a meet after swordfishcoupe said you would be interested.
Wales sounds good to me for the 1st get together, for the 2nd we could arrange for cheshire/derbyshire/lancashire area.

I will be posting soon for the cruise to donnie (30 july) from this area so if you want to join enroute let me know!

Car looks cooooool in yellow and paul-h car still looking like booster just polished it!
Regards
Paul

Thanks Paul.

We'll all have to put our heads together on possible routes and things. I'll probably do a few runs locally to see what routes are viable etc allowing for distances already travelled to get over this way.

I know Paul H is keen on a meet or two, but he's out of the country for a bit so that'll be one less until we can try and get a meeting to coincide with him coming back. I don't mind if we kick off with a Cheshire/Lancs meet and rotate meeting points to allow for as many owners to come to whichever is closest or not.

Failing that, we could have gatherings of Monaro owners whose name begins with Paul only. It would be quite a big meet going off the amount of Paul's on here!
