Looking now at doin the obligatory exhaust and re-map change, and just thought i would ask to see whos got what.

Im currently looking at the Wortec and Wrc-Tech systems, both exhaust and remaps. But what other systems are available?
How do the aforementioned systems change the tone of the exhaust note, i really want that big V8 burble and roar under load.

So, as per usual, thanks for any help in advance, and look forward to the replies

There are lots of people here with various mods who will give you good advice.

The Wortech system seams to be the best as you get an interchangeable exhaust (silencer or no silencer) so you can be noisy or more civilsied (yet still noisy)

I am having the sport pac (with said exhaust and remap and bits) fitted this Friday.

I haven't heard this system for myself but here it makes an awsome sound.

Contact Caspy at Greens as his advice is second to non on this forum.

Also Monkfish performance seam to be good also depending on your location.

Maybe someone has some footage of the new exhaust they could post

Good luck with what ever you get.

I'll give you a report a week today on what it is like (going for the noisy version first just to annoy the neighbours)

Complete Wortec front-to-back system without center sound boxes.

Sounds like a Nascar with tonnes of Rice Crispies

Much more free revving and gets up REAL quick as the airflow out of the engine is much free-er flowing

Check here - This was the post I put up immediatly after getting it fitted and there's a dyno comparison picture

I now have the same full system and agree with every word (read the linked topic too, that torque graph explains a lot, can REALLY FEEL the difference in real world driveability)

Couple of the neighbours didnt appear too happy that its gone even louder, but most LOVE it, even had to do a round of 'passenger rides'

I text Brian (Caspy) and Jeff the first time I drove the car saying that it had been possessed!!!!

BIG THANKS to all at Greens for the usual fantastic service.

Just out of interest I know performance will be slightly improved with the sport pac (04 CV8) but does anyone know by how much.

Will I really feel that much of a difference

yes - having driven a standard and a modded version you will really notice the difference. Always thought the standard was fast but when you start up a modded car you feel like theres a wild animal under the bonnet straining to get released. Blip the throttle and you'll almost certainly need a change of undergarments such is the excitement

Oh and before I forget if you want noise but still civilised then contact Doug @ LSV (username test123 on here) and ask about their Miltek exhausts which are tuned to 99dB which wont cause you any problems on track circuits etc which some of the other providers solutions can do.

If the exhausts are interchangeable, does that not mean that the map changes, how does it compensate for the two differences?

The addidtion of the box's doesnt impede flow to the extent that it requires a map, it just takes some of the volume out. On the dyno there is no diff in power.

I can vouch for affects on performance re boxes and the sport cats in and out as I saw the runs ahead of having runs with my car.....pretty damn awesome.

Wortec exhaust is an easy yes along with the obligatory air intake, remap and AP brakes.

Sounds loud (head turner) and burbles on deacceleration. Only problem I have had is the O2 sensors have needed replacing twice, booked in Wednesday.

Ap brakes are a must and once you have them you really notice how BIG they are and how good they are at stopping. Took mine to Brands Hatch after having it all done and the brakes never faded once and the sound from the exhaust got rated by spectators as the best sounding there.

My done by Picador in Southampton who I think have done a few, ripshifter fitted recently and that seems to make the car go faster but am sure its just the quicker shifts.

Got to be modded IMO - wife thinks its a little loud on start up when i go to work though...........

Why choose Milltek?
Milltek Sport exhausts have a genuine performance edge (IMO)
- noticeable power gains, sound that is truly awesome, styled looks that are aggressive but discrete and a feeling of true exhilaration.
Responsibly developed and engineered!!
in short...the best!
