Last week Autocar magazine put together a group of interesting cars to attempt a world record for the fastest production car in the London City limits...

The full story will be out tomorrow but here is my view of the day........

An Aston should not be seen in such company!
Those Flatbed Maloo trucks are stunning - I want one badly. But not quite as much as a V8V.

Thats a bit cool. If the soundtrack was removed could you hear the cars sufficiently?

The Maloo looked like it was moving a bit quicker than some of the others

There was a LOT of cross wind which the mic picked up (no high tec equipment here) so the car sounds are about as good as I can get......also the wind effected my stability .......

I have data logs of the Maloo's runs which I will post later today.........it ain't a slow Pickup!!!!!

Disappointing write-up by Autocar, the Maloo doesn't get mentioned once in the text. Even the Aston gets mentioned and that didn't even run!

As I thought the numbers have been changed to favour the slower sponsors.......

The truth is out there but they don't seem to want to print it.......

Not sure what to do now 1. name and shame or 2. put it down to experience?
