Come one you chaps with all the power, who's up for this?

Only one thing stopping me:
From previous posts I am at about 118dB
Anyone know if with silencers it would get under the 105dB limit? I am suspecting not...

I doubt it's 118db squire, that's incredibly loud...like Concorde loud and above the pain threshold.

I have a feeling MalcN's car was reading about 106db at Bedford and he has the same set up as you (I think) so silencing boxes would probably get it down quite easily.
But it's 101db for GP circuit days, 105 applies to Indy circuit ones.
"On trackdays that involve the Grand Prix Circuit – cars must not exceed the noise level of 101dba(A)."

Passing the static noise test is one thing, I was under 105db (102.3db) at Goodwood but hauled in for being above 105db on track, yes I have headers but as it's SC'd it is quieter than NA plus I have all the boxes with a Wortec system. It just might mean that you cannot rag it on track which kinda defeats the whole exercise. Thanks again to BigNige for the Goodwood tickets at an unbelievable price - Will
I was at Brands GP circuit today - first outing in the Monaro. I thought she performed well for an essentially stock car (AP brakes excepted). Feels nicely balanced, although stock suspension rolls a bit in the corners.
Brakes were fantastic - sessions were half an hour long and they never felt like giving up (tyres were going off before the brakes did). Speaking of tyres, I've never had the sign board from one of the Marshalls titled "Tyres" before. Told after that meant that I was making too much noise!
I ran with Dunlop Sport Maxx, and they were very good - wear rate was good as was the grip - I'd use them again
All she lacked was grunt!

Yes would love to meet up but I'm not taking the car on track again for a while so I will have to pass this time (need to replace shaft seal first) but hope you have a good day, pictures req'd of course. Wedding went very well indeed, thanks BigNige.
