Hello,

Just to let a few of you know, I fixed the rattle over the weekend on the gear knob. Well, it was easier as I had my central dashboard all out for my new DVD installation and steering column interface.

FAO Raggyman, I got the SWI-ALP steering adapter from ebay in the US, really easy to fit on the Monaro and good product for not much money. It plugs right in on our stereos.

Anyway, the gearknob rattle is all cured now and its amazing it rattled in the first place after taking the knob off. Weird, design really but thats Holden for you. I know some of you are having the same problem and with all my soundproofing the rattle used to really annoy me, but it is fixable without too much pain.

Cheers
Steven

I'd be interested to see more details of exactly what you did to resolve the gear shifter rattle/buzz. Any pictures? Thanks.

Hi,

This ia an adapter to able the Monaro steering wheel controls to be used on various Alpine, JVC and Kenwood headunits with the standard mini headphone jack.

Works really well, but causes a slight pause on the steering controls - just needs a little bit getting used it.

Cheers
Steven
