Am deciding what supplier to go with. All servicing so far has been done by Vauxhall dealers although not always by Monaro approved.

Am very tempted to go to Monkfish as their customer service seems second to none - anyone any views on actual work done and good/bad reviews? Also would you stick with Vauxhall dealers or allow a specialist to do it and the stamp.

Thoughts very welcome.

Thanks a lot.

I'd use Monkfish for my servicing (I'd love to do the Tea & Turbo Evening as well), but they are a 3hour drive for me . They fitted my SportPac and as you say the facilities there are excellent. The whole operation puts some dealerships I've been to, to shame. So, yes, they definately get my vote.

Make good cups of tea as well which is important...

Will be returning soon for headers etc.

Which reminds me, Roger I replied to the email you sent re the 05 exhaust modification thread from a week or so back, Sorry I took a while to get back to you.

Alan, The FAQ thread has a list of all the "usual suspects" that provide 10/10 servicing. This list will probably be the same what you will get once this thread is concluded. Just thought it would save you some time.

Thanks BO55. Just that Picador seem to have gone off the boil recently and Monkfish seem quite attractive. Devil's response and a few others will no doubt swing where my £'s go next!!

Picador have always had 10/10 from me - no quibbles whatsoever. I really hope to continue with them as its handy for me.

Yeah, it is hard to find someone who isn't a cowboy in this country that is for sure. There is a dude that I go to up here in newcastle when i didn't have time to do things myself. Monkfish are always there, and willing to help, can't recommend rodger and the team enough! Especially after my last encounter with Vauxhall up here in the north... customer service is hard to find that is for sure, and even more to the point, people who know the car.. or are clever enough to figure things out.

I travel 160 miles each way to Monkfish. Best I have found in over 30 years of using UK 'specialists'. Until they open a Northern branch will continue to do

Just had mine done at the very highly recommended 'Greens' in Kent.

Some areas of frustration I encountered were:
- If you ring up Rainham booking in a Monaro they will transfer you to the other Greens site (but they might not tell you).
- You book your service and turn up at the right time/date.
- They you will have to drive another 30 minutes to go to the right place (or 1 1/2 hours if you don’t know what/where the Rochester bridge is).
- You get a very slow and rubbish Astra courtesy car.

Some areas of surprise and delight I encountered were:
- Very nice people on all of the desks / phones.
- Apologetic for the said confusion above.
- Very clean workshop that looked professional.
- Did everything I asked (but I did write clear instructions, gave one to the desk man and left a copy in the car).
- Didnt quibble about the warrenty work.
- Got a clean car back.
- There is a small block engine on show (supercharged) and it is sooooo much smaller than I was expecting!

Hope that helps.
