Anyone here race Karts?

After wanting to do this for years but not having the funds to do it I am finally in a position to take it up. I was wondering if anyone here who does it or has done it in the past has any advice on equipment, rules etc. etc. As I'm not long off 17, from what I can gather I would be racing with Adults...

i would go out to the local kart track and speak to other races and thay can tell you where to get stuff and what is involved in the sport .i race an rotax over here in aus and i went to the local kart supply shop (as it was 100m up the road) and got all the info from there ,the best way to stat is na second hand kart as thay can be found cheap and in good condition.
