exhaust crossover pipes
Discussion

After viewing this forum for several months and an unsuccessful back-thread search, I'm surprised the subject of balancing cross-over pipes hasn't been discussed

I haven't seen it discussed either. Probably because the Wortec exhausts use an X pipe arrangement to balance the cylinder banks.
What did you want to discuss exactly?
My mistake then Bigwheel. My early Wortec has an X Pipe just before it joins the cats. I was under the impression there was a similar setup on the later model exhaust.
That changes things then doesn't it? Have you cosidered any modification? "H" pipe perhaps (not ideal but maybe easier if the gap is huge between the systems)?
X pipe is on the cat back not on the headers.
I would imagine there is room for an exhaust specialist to build a stainless X pipe arrangement and merge into the Wortec system further down the underbody.
Are you going to supercharge? Prob not worth worrying about if so. For NA applications though, I would have thought Wortec would have kept that feature.

mm. Seems like I'll have to get down and under and have another look. Last time was a few weeks ago.......
Pardon me, Paul
I just got the torch out and had another look after seeing your photo and now know where the X is. I've never had the 'ro up on a lift yet to get a proper look under.
Also could be interested in the switchover/cutout, centre-boxes are still bubble wrapped
