Evenin' all.

Found this on Ebay. As the detail on the item states, this particular model was never sold to the public. The book I've just received (Monaro, Rebirth of a Legend) states these tend to go from A$500-A$700. It's currently at £40, so it's going to go for a bunch more money and it'll be out of my league. Looks like a dealer is the current highest bidder.

Anyone got some real deeeeeeep pockets for the ultimate Monaro model?

(If the link doesn't work, just search for Monaro)

I'm probably wrong, but I thing this is the ONLY black model you can get.

Considering their range, I'm amazed the likes of Minichamps haven't done a Monaro model. Do you think it's worth me contacting them, or is that likely to be a waste of time (unless I offer to by 500 of them!!)

Hi Paul
Unlikely Minichamps would do one. Biante/Auto Art probably got that market sewn up.
Loads of colours and detail is superb. If you haven't got one yet, go for it. If you lose out, loads of suppliers 'down under'. The VT 'concept car'what we now know as the Monaro is available in gold 1/18th for £85AUD. This colour never went into production. Try Gateway.com.au
or Biantes own site. Gateway have a huge range.

Great site I think a link in the FAQ is needed, liked the colour options on the same model.

Correct Daz. As you say www.gateway etc. I assumed he would realise he needed www first.
Hope he enjoys the site( and has a bulging wallet,he'll need it).

There was one in blue/black also not a production colour. gateway have got this in 1/18th at $99AUD They also do the 427 by Classic Carlectables. They (CCs) are another site worth a look. Also try Linpin Holdings in Canada. e.g 1/18th VYSS panels and Utes at $74.99 US 1/43rds at $19.99 US

yeah I backed out at 101 - even that was silly money for a model car imho. Anyway it had a red interior - more like a pimps car
