Try the B 4077 Toddington - Stow. Used as test route by manufacturers and magazines.

What about speed cameras, safety vans and the like or are the roads all 'slow' roads?

No fixed cameras on that stretch, and no vans seen. Info given in good faith, but its down to you !!

...or at the bottom of Stow hill, take the left fork & head out toward Burford - excellent road but don't know about cameras or vans etc...it's been a bit since I was on it! Some long sweeping corners with good vis of the road ahead. Then once in Burford, take a left & head off toward Chipping Norton, over the top but watch out, some corners creep up on you!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I missed those as Im back from there already but I did get on the A436 and A424 and theyre both pretty good. Long sweeping bends mostly, no cameras at all but quite a bit of traffic mid-week.

BTW, If anyone has a late model, Blue, Merc C220 CDi with the numberplate "4 AST", your wife is driving it faster than any woman has a right to - I was suitably impressed! clap
