Couple of us up here are thinking of heading along to Crail in Fife this weekend. They're having a "club" weekend with usual show 'n shine type thing. Toying with the idea of doing a run down the 1/4 mile strip - though have been warned you do have to break hard to avoid the drop off the cliff Anyone north of Manchester fancy a drive up for the day? If you want to make a weekend of it then bigwheel is looking for people to go to RAF Leuchars on the Saturday to the annual airshow. Can promise you the best fish supper in the country afterwards from a little place in Anstruther that has their own fishing boat - in the summer they have a 3-4hr queue up the street with people waiting to get in!!

If you like fast yes and loud wobble then you're in for a treat at RAF Leuchars Air Show this Saturday. 7 hours of flying, a large funfair and other attractions.
The Park 'n Ride is well sorted or take your motor on airfield. Go for 09:00 and miss the queues.
Meet me under the tail of the USAF B52.

Followed by the Crail Car Club and Forum Challenge this Sunday. Crail is about 15 miles to the east of Leuchars, near St.Andrews.
You will get reaction time, 60 foot, 1/8 mile and MPH at this point then 1/4 mile and final MPH all on the one print out.

B52 Landed this morning. As did F15's, one of which was an emergency. Nothing spectacular.

If you want to beat the traffic you need to be there well before 0900!!! Put it this way, I have to be there for 0600 to make sure I don't get stuck before work. Gates open at 0800 and I would suggest arriving about half to three quarters of an hour before that. The roads are small and cramped so be prepared for a wait if you do get caught.

Thanks, VT. Spread the word........

I've been going for many years now, and have noticed we need to be earlier each successive year. Worth it for a once a year flying-fest
