How was the show? Did you get any takers for Crail? What were the times etc?

Yep. Made 6 runs inc. 2 with a passenger.
Got a faint print out. ET's 14.5sec. Best TV 101.8

More later tonight. Bob might have posted something by then........driving

I was working out of 111 Sqn (I work on 43 Sqn normally). I was involved in the F3 Diamond 9, airfield attack etc.
No chance of getting to Crail unfortunately as after a 16 hour working day on Sat, I was back at work for 8 hours yesterday. Absolutely pooped.

model went for 103 quid - could have bid again but it was getting to the silly stage with that price.

crail was a laugh and I've got a load of videos of bigwheel's runs down the strip including one where he's getting left for dead by a Nova . glorious day weather wise and perfect for power runs, dry bright and loads of cold clean air blowing off the sea. disappointed with the times achieved mind you - bigwheel's car is supposed to be pushing out 410bhp (wortec exhaust and tune on 5.7 06 model). sure I'd heard of a base 04 model making same sort of times. dropping the clutch from around 2k rpm he was still getting some wheelspin off the line despite the traction control but not so much as to seriously affect his times. changing right before hitting redline on rev limiter and crossing the line as it topped out in 3rd gear. maybe some of the others that have tried drag runs could comment on their experience?

drive home after was a bit dodgy thanks to the local constabulary parking camera vans at every other junction/roundabout. still I suppose they've probably had difficulties with the boy racers leaving these events before.
