LSD questions etc

Was reading another forum when I came across this company as highly recommended for their lsd products. They don't list a Monaro version but they do say they will consider a custom build for small quantities. Anyone on here come across their products in other cars? Claim their product is fairly unique and that it doesnt have pads/discs (similiar to a clutch)that wear out - does the standard Monaro lsd use the same system or will it need parts replaced on a regular basis? Have included link to their info below. Apologies in advance if this is stupid but it was bigwheel's lack of traction off the line at Crail that got me looking at this whole lsd thing - prior to that I was doing well remembering what lsd was abbreviation for

Had one fitted to my Astra. Always the first name I think of when I hear lsd being mentioned. It was fantastic but there is a limit to how much they can do. The Monaro has relatively small tyres for such a powerful engine. You can limit the wheelspin with an LSD and Suspension but I doubt you will eliminate it.

Didn't stop the wheelspin in my Astra, can't think why....

Oh, maybe it was to do with 280bhp engine with a 4.17 diff in a fwd car?

I am going the RaceLogic (TC) route to get rid of wheelspin. With launch control off the line it 'should' do a better job than a LSD.

I emailed them to see what they had to say re Monaro. Apparently they would consider producing a unit for the car but only if we could generate an order for between 10-15 units. No mention of price but from what I've seen they typically charge around £1500-2000 exc VAT for their other models.

Let me get this straight - a standard CV8 DOESNT have an LSD?

All our Monaros have LSD. But is the design of a type that wears-out friction cones which would eventually need replacing?
If so, then those contemplating a diff swap to 3.9 might be inclined to go for the quaife unit that doesn't wear-out, relatively speaking

just weld the diff together? - it will never wear out ;-)

A mate had a locked diff, not good for carpark driving and corners. But yes, much fun.
