just bought a set of magnecor leads

a little bit of paper says do not use the original alumnium shroud - because of an issue with heat?

any thoughts? i assumed that the alloy shroud was there to protect against heat?

i've emailed them direct to see what they come back with

had mine for over a year WITH shrouds fitted.

no rattle (seen that in another thread) and no heat issues

Mine is a HSV GTS 300 so doesn't have cast headers with aluminium shield like standard LS1's.

For person that talked about rattle before.....the springs on the shields prevent rattle (if theyn are there?)

Cheers

zero response out of the manufacturer - using common sense... i refitted the shrouds, with springs - no rattle and the car seams a lot smoother (think one was on its way out)

I think the shrounds may also be a shiled too ????

Im using Moroso leads, with no shrouds at all.

Havent had any heat issues, and mine run pretty damn close to my headers.
