OK - embarrassing newbie Monaro owner question...

When I switch off, lock etc, the clock stays on and illuminated for an hour. Is there a way to disable this, as it kind of draws attention to the dash' when its dark...

Shouldn't do that...unless there's something in the set-up you can tinker with?

Switch on ignition and press Mode button immediately.
Should be able to cycle though various settings for this sort of thing then.

It's woth remembering that many settings are stored in the key so you may have to do the same with the spare one.

aghold,

does the courtesy light stay on as well?

Check in menus that accessories are selected as door controlled, select delays to two minutes or so,

start engine
put on stereo

run engine with door closed,
then switch off, remove key and open door

stereo should go off immediately
stereo light will stay on for a couple of minutes
headlights will go out after two minutes

if not then flick door courtesy light switch (i.e. switch within door hinges)

if this switches all off then you have a sticky courtesy switch - quite common

if not then you may have a duff one and should check the courtesy lights work at all.

The reason the stereo goes out after an hour is that there is a default 1 hour regardless shutdown from the BCM that kills all.

Blabbing most of this from memory, but if any more questions I'll check with my missus's motor as her's is a 04 CV8

Cheers
