Spotted...red CV8 in Shopland

Passed a red CV8 in the lanes around Shopland near Rochford today......was that you BigNige?

Aye, twas indeed.

I was out for a blat...had been giving it major berries through the twisties out near Barling and was on me way back.
Roads are a bit narrow to really give it the beans around there and was wondering where on earth all the traffic was coming from all of a sudden...and then I saw the road closed by an accident.

Any idea what happened - must have been a bit nasty for them to close it like.

Hi mate. No idea what happened, hope it wasn't too nasty. As my chosen route home was blocked, I too decided to take advantage of the lanes and go for a blast out via Wakering and Shoebury. Got home eventually!

I found a really nice route a few weeks ago:

Chelmsfod via the Hanningfields, then along the A12 for a bit, off at Mountnessing, through Ingatestone, dive off towards Stock and the divert through Padhams Green and out towards Blackmore etc picking up the A12 once again to come home.

Takes about an hour or so and is a great mixture of fast A roads, twisty but fast B roads and B road nadgery bits.
Pretty quiet most of the time too.
