Did anyone see the article in I think yesterdays News of the World, about Vauxhall bringing the new Commodore to UK, good article with pics.

Anything definitive? Did it say when they'd be on sale, how much, what spec?

i think is is the SS V january i think for about 35k top end of 170mph

I imagine Vauxhall would evaluate a HSV derivitive not a Holden! Think it is only 365 std with the L98 engine.

Maybe they'll sell the SS-V and HSV GTS? SS-V for 30k and GTS for 35k? Would fit with what they did with the Monaro...

Don't the not HSV cars use the L76 V8?

Ah yes, but didn't the VXR sell much better than the CV8? Therefore, I'd expect only the top-end stuff to be sold this time around.

New SS-V has L98 engine, the old VZ had L76, basically the same with different sump.
The heads are LS7 derrived with large intake valves and squarish ports.

Flow is way in excess of the LS2 heads which the HSV still uses as they have retained the LS2 engine for the VE model.

Im betting that the L76 and L98 engines perform better with mods than the HSV will.
