Service gives MASSIVE suprise.

So....Greens have had me car since Tuesday for its 2nd service and a general health check and I have had to put up with driving an A word about the place which has driven me nutz. So me and the missus set out at 6:30 this morning to drive over to Snoddy to pick the car up. I parted with my pennies for the cost of the service and had to keep it short and sweet so I could get back to Camberley to work.
So we stood about in the car park and had a quick smoke, then I got in the car and started her up and MY GOD!!!..........WTF??? The wife just stood there and had the biggest smile on her face as I sat there in the car ondering WTF was going on. UNknown to me, she had been talking with Greens and other fellow Monaro buddies about the headers/cats upgrade and had organised for the upgrade to be done while the car was in their hands being serviced. Biggest ever suprise I have ever had. Had the best drive back along the M25 and through Guildford and while I have been back at work I have been looking for ecvery excuse in the book to go out and about, just so I can hear that glorious new noise. So far, I've been out for milk, done the sarny round, been to the post office and done the banking. Oh and about 50 milesn hear and there just enjoying!
So.....cmon just how many of you buggas knew about this!!! I got the biggest smile ever!! And thank god for a misssus who is a petrol head!!
Once again, Greens/Wortec have done a fantastic job and the car just feels soooooo completely different. Cheers each and all!!!

if you ever thought people were mad for turning down the music and having the windows down to listen to the sounds coming from these cars..
i did at times when reading comments like that but since having the headers and catback fitted, ive joined the crazy club with windows down when its raining, windows down at 2am..
winter will be interesting, imagine the news.. bbc news reports driver found frozen at the wheel of a monaro during the early hours of the morning with a smile on his/her face ;-)

LOL!!! The headers do sound pretty sweet don't they? I can just imagine your grin when you got the total shock!
I have had mine a while and still brings a big smile to my face now. Don't worry the trips out for milk/papers/cup of sugar etc will last a while yet. Only problem is when it is raining you can't have your windows open.
I didn't know anything about this but think you are one lucky bugger having a wife like that
P.S. what is she after?

Mmmmm, I wonder who ... You certainly threw a spanner in the works when you said you were thinking of changing the car, that's for sure. Welcome to the
club mate - I guess the fuel bill will be going up a bit now. I know mine did... Not through poorer fuel economy, but just because you just drive it more. Enjoy it mate, the grin will just get bigger with time until it's darn right painful.

....and to add... if Twin Turbo thought your car sounded good before, he's gonna have a "personal" accident now.

Can't wait to hear it. Unfortunately, today was my last day in the office as I'm now a workshy fop (1 month's garden leave before redundancy) so didn't get to hear the Guildford drive by. Must say, I only live about a mile and a half from Mose, so I'm a little disappointed I can't hear it from here
And what a top missus. I'll recount the story to my wife for future reference
Mose, that's very decent of you. I'll likely take you up on that offer. Just need to check if my chum Alasdair (Soft Top - a relative newbie to Pistonheads) is likely to still attend. If not - Wooooohooooo, my first ride in a Monaro.

oh dear, this could lead to an even greater desire to get one sooner than I'd anticipated.
