does anyone have any "official" performance figures for this thing yet or are we all guessing still?

We have demo cars out with various independent magazines, so official numbers will follow.....but our in house numbers show 4.89sec to 60mph and just over 10sec to 100.....

The BIG problem is traction so standing start numbers are hard to get BUT in gear it is awesome.

as quite a few big HP monaro owners have found getting the car off the line is a very smokey event and they have turned to "Race Logic"

But if the car is on the move it is a different story as many a supercar owner has found out....

Low speed acceleration is all about weight and the Monaro is a bit lardy. Once you get 60+ then horses and airo become more important and the thing will really fly.....

In your opinion how much time would a race logic traction control system take off the 0-60 and 0-100 time when it is fitted and much more benificial would it be when its wet.

Tough one.......In the dry I would expect a reduction of .5 of a second to 60 without much problem the reduction to 100 would be hard to guess as the Monaro is adding speed at a great rate when it has drive.....maybe 1-1.5 of a sec?

In the wet the system will get you off the line where as without it you have no chance!!!!

We have found launching in 2nd gear an effective way to get a consistent quick start.

I am so looking forward to having the Racelogic TC finished on Wednesday

Now the diff has changed 1st and 2nd are virtually out of bounds right now for full throttle (in the wet or anything less than a straight line).

sounds as if the diff may be a bit too much? think different gear cluster would be better?

----- used to have a mini with 10 inch wheels and 850 gearbox - effectively made a 2 speed mini as 1st and second were useless :-)

Thanks for the informative answer, its sounds a very worth while modification and one which is on our list of things to do.

The Monaro has relatively narrow rear tyres and front biased weight distribution so its never going to be the fastest 0-60 car on the planet. Its not like a 911 with 295 section rears and an engine on top of them to help traction.

Out of interest does the car hit 60 in second or third? As sub 4.5second cars need to hit it in second to achieve this.....

hell I've had 60 in 2nd gear in my 04 plate cv8 without bouncing off the rev limiter.

Well I'm driving ours about so anyone in the Luton / St Albans area who wants to see / hear one let me know.

Takes the performance to a whole new level , saw off an (old)RS4 this morning in a rolling from 50 surge.

In the wet it gets a bit lively but no more than the regular car to be fair. Would benefit from a launch control as you do have to feather it a bit to get off the line and then it just demolishes everything. All very very impressive and you can't help giggling as the supercharger whine builds in the cabin. Reminds me must watch Mad Max tonight.

I'm in Harpenden and would love to just have a gander if that's ok. No doubt it'll make my CV8 a little limp!

We tested our old monaro CV8 with circa 430bhp and saw a consistent time of about 4.7 seconds but my dad has had quite a bit of practice at getting it off the line. With a supercharger the torque is going to be unbelieveable so launching without sticky tyres is always going to be a bit hairy!
