A few questions for the brains out there (mods etc)

I've done my best to go digging back through the forum for some info, most of which I've been able to find, but a few things still leave me scratching the old noggin somewhat, so time for me to don my newbie outfit and ask the masses for some info...

First off I've a UK spec Mar 06 CV8, so it's standard on the 5 spoke 18's, bonnet snouts and has the twin exhaust setup...

So question 1 - rims, I've spoken to a few local places over here in Ireland about options available for the car in 19" guise, but most of the time I either get a "what car is it again", or "don't think any of our suppliers do that fitment"...so with the Monaro practically mirroring BMW's fitment bar the centre bore what rims are available, and are the 19" VXR rims available to purchase from VX themselves?

Question 2 - I love the look of the car as it is bar one thing - the plain bootlid, what options are available for the car as far as a spoiler goes - and don't worry I'm not talking jap-style madness I like the look of the VXR setup - either that or a simple lip style spoiler just to break up the back end slightly, so anyone have any info on options available out there and once again can the VXR unit be bought from VX?

The standard rims on my 'ro look to have been treated with acid previously as they have a very matt finish to them, no lacquer etc - they actually look as though they've been beadblasted (best way to explain the current finish), and instead of paying a local refurb company a number of 100 buck bills I'd rather pay that bit extra and get a nice new set of 19's on to make it all that more nice to look at...

I got a quote of 1250UKP iirc including shipping for a set of VXR style 19" wheels direct from Oz. By the time you add tyres that makes it a near 2k pricetag. Forget buying them in UK from Vauxhall - 780+VAT a wheel iirc was what someone was quoted. BMW wheels are a no go - they protrude too far and would catch rear arches unless you stuck with 18". Guys at LSV have wheels in stock and may be willing to do a deal on some if you fancy a change - tempted by the 18" gold wheels as seen on the red Maloo at Silverstone. Sure Roger @ Monkfish could also help out but don't know if he carries stock. Mark @ LSV was doing a deal on rear lip spoiler couple of months back - dont know if he still has any. Could also try www.jhp.com.au for assorted bodykits.

Hi baz - can only comment on Q2 - I made enquiries last time home with my dealer re the boot spoiler! He basically said the cost is around £800 then you have fitting & paint - total he quoted me was £1000 all in! A bit too much for me! (I do believe the Americans don't like the boot spoiler, in the States, & take them off!!)
