Successful paintjob?
Discussion
There have been a few threads on here regarding body repairs and the general inability of bodyshops to match colours properly.
Has anyone on here had a red monaro resprayed and had it match properly? Can anyone recommend a bodyshop that can get it right? It's just the rear quarter panel that needs doing and blending as the previous repair is pretty much orange. I'm hoping it won't cost more than about £500, does that seem reasonable?
Thanks in advance,
Mackie

Ths bodyshop at Greens is not actually Vauxhall but Medway motors? I think Alfa/Mercedes and it took me four trips to get my bodywork sorted after a nieghbour did a small amount of damage. Although I think Greens is second to none, I can not say the same for their associates.
Couldnt agree more!!!
However, based on feedback such as this, I have taken it over in the last cpl of months, re invested in staff, equipment gained SAAB approval also, and feel it offers a far better level of service.
Thanks for your email caspy.
I also contacted Browns and they seemed to think it would need the door doing too to blend it properly but they are going to have a look at it next weekend and give a final quote. I'm not sure if they're trying to pull a fast one, we shall see. To my mind it should be possible to match a solid colour without needing to blend into the next panel - metallics are different, granted.
I'd be happier going to Greens because of the excellent reputation and personal service but it's a bit of a trek for me (unless they fancy giving me a VXR500 courtesy car
