Cant fault them, very very polite. Informed them of A-plan and Elephant quotes for a modded ro (exhaust only) as being sub £750. So after a nice lengthy chat with the chap at Adrian Flux I was over the moon with their quote of £1400. Thats not a typo with an extra 0, 1400 quid

I never found Adrian Flux to be anywhere near competitive when you have mods.

I was a happy customer of theirs until I started modding a previous car and their premiums went through the roof!

They contacted me offering their services as they read about the VXR500, suggesting they were open to mods etc. Seems they are but at indifferent pricing. Pity.

AF have always quoted me pants. This year, aplan got it, all up with mods declared 720 quid. better than 900 with D/L. Mind you, they seem to have forgotten to send me my certificate, just a cover note. Must give em a bell.

I think they must have someone at the side of them to just pick numbers out of a hat. There was no instant computer quote just put on hold for 5 mins then came back with the answer. This was on their modified line.

Just catching up with things and saw this. I have just moved to Adrian Flux from MCE who shafted my son on his DeLorean and American Toyota truck adding extra to his premium after their quote had been accepted and paid.I have insured my HSVGTSR, F150,Mustang Convertable, Wrangler Jeep and Trans Am for me the missus my son on all of them plus my daughter on the Mustang and Jeep all fully comp and bonus protected for £2200.00 !!!,what do you think? I did bring them all in line to start on the 1st July so it also makes life easier on renewal.

should have tried a-plan (the link on here not the local broker) or greenlight

turns out greenlight may have been a lot chaper for me than a-plan (inc mods) but their reply was 2 days too late

Wow how did I miss this thread..

I had a quote recently for my current SS Commodore from them for... wait for it...

£4800 yikes

After I complained, the girl on the phone said, "But that does include full legal cover"

yikes and yikes again. Well me sideways, it should have included a five star blow-job for the rest of my natural for that price.

After then obtaining a quote from Footman James (my previous insurer for my Ultima GTR), FJ returned an all inclusive price of £900 including all mods. So how on earth can they come up with such an outrageous price difference?

In a fury I then wrote to the MD of AF exlaining that I was rather dissapointed in the attitude that I received (when I cancelled my other daily driver with them), and could they cease my insurance forthwith, and return any monies outstanding..

MD replied with the usual stuff, and they also sent me out a customer satifaction survey which I have not bothered to fill in as clearly they didn't listen to my request to cancel as they debited my account two days ago for £118 mad

I must say that they have definately come through for me in the past, especially on motorcycles, but this quote was so far off the mark I cannot fathom how they calculated it.

£4,800? eek

I suppose what they are really saying is "Run along now, we don't want to insure you"
