Haven't heard anything from the dealer that sold me the car since the day I drove out the showroom a year ago....
Then, what should turn up in the post today....a letter from the dealer saying that now the car is a year old, it should be serviced to maintain the warranty.
So, nothing from them for a year and then all of a sudden they want me to go back and give them some money for servicing....FOOK OFF
I prefer to take my car to somewhere where it gets all the TLC it needs, and then some, a dealer who knows his onions, has a team of staff as dedicated as him and is the South East's Premier Monaro Dealership....Take a

Yep me too. Had mine a year now and I got a phone call from the service department reminding me that it is now due for its first service.
Having been in and out several times earlier this year for them to correct a leak and then all the problems they put on there was no way I'd let them near it for a service.
Unfortunately Caspy's a bit to far for me so I too found someone local who also looks after it as if it were his own.

Mr MonkfishI'm not looking forward to service time - which is now just over 1500 miles away as there's nowhere here in Ireland that's endorsed as being able to work on it officially - there are a few people I would trust to do the work, but if I want to stay VXL approved history wise then I'm going to need to head to the mainland by the looks of it - which is going to be a tad expensive...

That doesn't surprise me B055, that is the same dealer that told me the Monaro does not run well on premium unleaded and that overall sales on the Monaro in this country were approx 3,000! As I threatened to report them to Vauxhall for a few issues with my car I am not surprised that they haven't contacted me
I wish I had known about Greens before I bought my car as Brian would definitely have had another sale.
Which reminds me, must get their name taken off my numberplates!

You do not actually have get a service done by a franchised dealer. Under the EU legislation of Block Exemption Regulation 1400/2002 cars can be serviced by anybody as long as they adhere to the manufacturers' recommended service procedures and use manufacturers' approved parts

I still have their tax disk holder - I did ask Green's to replace it at the service, but appears to have been overlooked...car has to got back for some warranty parts, I'll remind them.

Sounds like a plan as one of Stevieturbo's mates already has a 2004 Monaro over here so knows his way around them, and runs his own garage/tuning firm

interestingly I haven't heard back from mine despite twice requesting the car passport (the thing with radio pin, and other security details) to be provided. It states in the manual this is needed for servicing etc and I will be fooked if I have to pay to get teh pin for the radio should an event occur leaving me without music...

Think I had the same dealer, when I had a plastic break under the seat they could not be more unhelpful and I ended up paying for it from a local dealer, Then I had the yearly phone call........FO!
