Oh my god i swear someone as brought my lambo back with four seats and stuck a vauxhall badge on it !!! it is just awesome and hats off to the brainchild behind it, ok its only got a supercharger on it which is not that greater achievement but to do that and get manufacters warranty and for 40 k is great, and if i was greens i would be getting there hands on every last monaro in the uk because i cant see this just being limited to 15 purely customers and their money are going to make every last vxr on the planet a vxr 500.
but im sure brian as them cars in the uk already and trying to get the last ones from oz as well if any!!! now i had it a day here are my thoughts on the car

i personally think the suspension is way to soft on the car , it needs a harder stiffer set up does not inspire me to throw it around at the minute so that will get done soon ,any one got any suggestions ???.
also the t/c, the man that designed that was out on the piss that day come back and thought he would have a laugh!! so he put a dummy switch in it !!! its none exsistent , car as already been spinning in third and been going sideways.
and also the door mirrors vibrate more than my wifes toys there crap to look out of at speed or are everyone elses ok and i have duff ones??
i had ap's which you all said i need ye they stop but there is no feel or feed back from the pedal to tell me whats happening , brake pedal might well as be a brick. seats could do with a lot more lateral support in but there fine otherwise and last but not least "are you just pleased to see me or have you a monaro key in you pocket" what the fcuk is that key about ,
you can play tennis with the damn thing as its the size of a tennis racket!! surely someone tell me you can get a new fold away type cut and programmed from somewhere ??
and wouldnt be right for the car to get all the critism so one for the dealer if i may ?, the man that cleaned it?? was he doing it in a dark tunnel with sunglasses on and blind ???
but on a whole i have one hell of a grin on my face having driven it knowing i sold my gallardo and bought one of these. this car is a super car killer and is worthy of being on the podium with the best of them!!!!! well done to any one involved in this project.

Good to hear some feedback from a recent driver of a super car.

Suspension - Avo set up seems order of the day makes huge difference and was on car 5th Gear raved about (I think)

Racelogic TC is a must I reckon with any more than 430/450hp - Tiler will give you good feedback on it the standard TC is very aggricultural to put it politely.

Mirrors - well mine don't shake but you need the wide angle glass speak to Bo55 - Bo55 are there any left?

You swapped a Gallardo for one of these? Are you mad?

Hope you enjoy it anyway. You'll certainly have lots of fun. And if you want it cleaned properly (and I mean properly) then see my earlier thread -www.hsv.org.uk/topic.asp?t=323267&f=69&h=27

yikes Trevor you HAVE to bed the brakes in!!!!! You will get no real feel until you have a few hundred miles on, but, the discs go through a tempering process on the car, too much heat can warp them early on. You really shouldnt go banzai on them til you can see a colour change to a slight blue (pad transfer), be patient it is worth it, the feel and retardation is as good as I have felt. (We fit the Brabus 12 pot system on Mercs, and they feel stronger at high speed).

As for suspension, the AVO/Wortec system transforms it (fully adjustable).

Again, be gentle for a thousand miles at least on the whole installation. And then......Enjoy!!!

That is just torture Brian! You give someone (well, sell) a nice new toy and then tell them they can't use it properly for 1,000 miles?

You are evil evil

Good to hear some comments from a Supercar owner, I am not sure I would have swapped a Gallardo for a Ro but small niggles aside it shows that the Monaro is a fantastic car and can give some of those true Supercars something to think about

Traction control should work. There is a known issue when tuning the LS2 in speed density mode where the stock PCM will cause the traction control to not work. Check with Paul he will be able to confirm if the fix has been applied or not.

The TC does work technically, however the car over powers it in reality. Remember all it is in reality is a throttle relaxer nothing more!!

Re the seat belt warning - Put the seatbelt on!

Unless it is something new in the latest models (which I doubt) then you don't have heated mirrors.
