What is everyone elses thoughts on this...

I would probably like to be able to see if people have things for sale, ( you never know when people want stuff ). Would rather firstly see them in here first and then, ok, go to classifieds afterwards if I want to look at them.

If they go straight into Classifieds how are we going to know they are there? This comes from the thread Allow Wheels being locked up.

Who are these guys anyhow? TonyHetherington and Phil Dicky?

its to stop pistonheads becoming full of thousands of i've got some 'tat for sale' threads. there is a free classifieds section plus listing on here always alloys for somebody to post 'eurch, horrible' or 'ive got a set for half that if anybody is interested' type comments.

How about posting a link to the Classified from here, or is that still a no-no?

Maybe even make the thread a sticky so there's is only one?

I agree with the OP. I was interested in buying those wheels but it took me ages to find the Parts Tab and then look under wheels.. all to no avail.

A seperate tab under 'THIS FORUM' FAQ's or similar would be really usefull. I emailed the guy but got no response so chances are he got fed up and went elsewhere. If there was enough of us collective PH'ers and we could all agree on a good idea, maybe it might be worth posting this in the Website Feedback Forum?

Ted made a ruling in an earlier thread - shouldn't be an issue to post things for sale here.

Sorry, have I missed something here... I've been discussing with Ted and he was OK for stuff THAT IS RELEVANT TO HSV and NOT COMMERCIAL to be sold on here.

There is a link to "CLASSIFIEDS" in the "links" tab (if you are accessing from HSV.Org.Uk)

OK, might be a different story in Clit Cars R US, but think that for me it is ok to put it in here. Our stuff is hard to get. I just think that there could be alot of goodies that get lost in the classifieds area, rather than being in here, and things that you aren't brought to the attention of. I mean, yeah if it got to the point of... Well, I have my grandmothers, uncle's washing machine for sale... well, yeah, that ain't really relevant, and should be stomped.

Anyhow, my 2 cents worth.

Just so you know, discussions are ongoing on the PH Moderator forum to see if we can make thinks a bit simpler.

Don't think we need to be too strict in here either way.

I've added some extra links to the PH classifieds so that you can get directly to relavent sections.
