My lovely wife had a really bad accident this morning lost control on a slippry corner and put it into a house and agas meter so lucky the police said it didnt just explode she was cheked out by the ambulance and my 2 little girls all well just a bit shocked just thankful everyone is ok airbags didnt deploy but loads of lights flashing all over the dash now.
Apparently the smash repair place says it is fixable but only if it was a uk car they reckon it is going to be far to expensive to do anything with because of the lack of parts fine be me really looks like i am going to get a new car any offers got to be a 4 door though.........

As I said earlier, bummer! At least the family are fine. Hopefully the insurance should sort you out a replacement with minimal hassle.

I did wonder about whether or not is was a write-off when I saw the pic this morning. It is really sad to see it go, that was a great car.

I am just glad the wife and kids are ok. That must have really shaken them up, a couple of brandies might be in order.

perhaps you wife could be a postie, just can't imagine the Post office are going to shell out for a new car on every delivery, but they could give her some of the rovers still stood on the airfield in oxfordshire, seems a shame to not get proper use from them.
Joking aside glad to hear alls well, my wife slid our omega into the ditch in the snow with our baby onboard. I imagined carrange but she bearly left the tarmac, thank goodess. cloud9

I'd like to echo the sentiments of everyone here and glad that the family is ok and only damage was to the car. But it is a shame that another Holden/HSV/Monaro bites the dust

glad everyone walked away ok, even if a bit shaken. At the end of the day its only a car, even if a very rare one. It can always be repaired or replaced, much harder to do that with people!!

Jeeez Zane; dunno where to start mate; so sorry to see black beauty lookin like that I know how passionate you were about bringin it over - I'd of been shattered if that had happened to the coupe (still would be!) as you form an even greater attchment to yr car when u go through the hassle of bringing it half way round the globe yourself! Glad the tribe are safe and sound though & dont put up with any bullshit from the insurance co!

Zane, I am really sorry to find this post this morning, you obviously do not hold your lovely wife to blame and your priorities lie with her & your childrens health, shit happens as they say but I can imagine how totally gutted you must feel, its not about money, I know how proud & rightly so you were of your car, should be able to get a nice uk spec GTS now I would imagine. Hope everyone recovers & forgets their odereal real soon.
