Evening all,

Just a quick note to say hello properly to you all. I've lurked for a long time and asked a few questions here and there, but it's taken this long to actually get a car.

However, finally last Friday, I became the owner of a black 2000 HSV GTS. It's unmodified apart from a stainless exhaust, remap, and some rather lovely adjustable coilovers. It's a credit to its former owner, who is a forum member as well.

I've wanted one of these cars since visiting Australia on holiday in 1999 and have looked for the right one for a long time, so I'm absolutely stoked about it now. It's the first performance car I've owned that, when not enjoying the performance and handling, is fun to simply pootle about in with the windows down

I'll post up some pictures as soon as I get some done. So, er, hello I guess thumbup

Thank you Will, I nearly mentioned you in the OP as it looks exactly like yours. Or like yours did before you upgraded the alloys, which by the way look ace. Now I just need the AP's and the supercharger bow

Thanks all, it's simply such an awesome machine. The Racelogic TC is great in the wet, not overly intrusive but will bail you out if needs be. Of course it's also a great laugh to turn it off

In terms of more high-speed stuff, I simply don't have the cojones to push it in this weather, need to get used to it a bit first. At the moment, it's frankly exciting enough at 30mph, window down, just to hear the burble. Who cares that the stereo sucks? thumbup

Edited to add that it would be timely at this point also (mainly because I forgot the other day) to thank Roger at Monkfish and Mark at LSV for their help in finding a GTS, consisting mainly in fielding my phone calls asking inane questions! It's really fantastic to have this sort of support network for the car, as a bonus to me personally also in such close proximity!
