I had the RL unit in my mkiv Supra. In snow it helped but there is a point where it can only do so much. The supra had fatter tyres so the Monaro should be better.
I have been in contact with RL as I'm going down the VXR500 route and think RLTC is a must as the standard TC is pants.

Hope I don't find out.
When fitted I was told it does help with more than just the rear wheels spinning. If the front wheels hit water or snow and start going slower than the rears (as in under braking) fuel would be cut to the rears even if not spinning as the RL senses the front going slower than the rear.
Don't think it would stop a slide but wold probable cut power before you know you need too.
Its not until you get to 'play' that you can see how good it is, especially in the wet.
