I need it to feed into my nav system, anyone know what pin it is off the back of the clock? (I'm assuming there is one?) confused

Its a purple wire from memory in the VT2.
You need a wiring diagram. Talk to Mr Monkfish, Andy there was talking about an integrated circuit he was fitting to recal the speedo for someone. So they will certainly know which wire it is.

Ringram is right...

It's actually a Violet wire with white trace going into pin 17 on the Instrument cluster.
This is direct from PCM. (sometimes this has been just purple with no trace, Gm using up some old wire I think.)

Use this as preferred.

Another option:

There is also a Brown with Red trace tacho signal on Pin 18 that is used for TCS and ABS.
Don't use if you can avoid it, but if the Purple/White doesn't work. Connect into this and then test TCS and ABS prior to an emergency use.

Better to upset rev counter than ABS/TCS if badly loaded. However, this is unlikly due to buffering in most modern installed SATNAVs,..... but as you haven't specified type, i'm just being careful.....?
