I've just changed the front pads on my VXR for the Monkfish uprated pads, strangely the nearside pads showed a lot more wear than the offside, anybody have any idea why this might be?
Also, what oil pressure should these engines run at? I've got a gauge but no idea where it should be pointing!

I think it's 25-30 PSI at idle 60 -70 PSI at WOT. Can be as low as 20psi at idle and that's ok (AFAIK)
As for brake pads, I don't know. Any evidence of siezing? Were both pads worn evenly on the more worn side or was one more worn than the other?

I have the same thing happening on my AP's and also 4 pot harrops... a bit of a shame really that one side goes before the other..

Both pads in the nearside were worn evenly, good point about siezed caliper. The abs seemed to be cutting in more often than I would have thought neccessary, although at low speed on damp muddy roads, would that suggest potential siezed caliper?

I'd have thought it would have been picked up when the pads were changed. The slides on the calipers are sealed and lubricated and the pistons would have needed to be retracted which may have been a problem if they were seized.

Anything to do with Splatspeed mail of Nov 29th. " Car pulling to left" ?

Just a thought, presumabley the car has split braking circuits, are the front wheels on seperate circuits? and if so, if there was air in one circuit would that effect the braking on that side?

Good point! That is a definite posibility!
