The Lightning needs new boots so I thought I'd get the collective's opinion on a good supplier as I havent been here long enough to buy a set yet.

I need 295/45ZR18s so Ill stick my neck out and say they wont be cheap - but it would be nice!

Not fussed about fitting as I can get that done locally.

I LOVE new tyres...

I've used mytyres.co.uk many times and have been very happy.

They stock most sizes and brands but I think your size is a bit rare so you might be out of luck.

Many thanks for your suggestions Gents.

As an FYI, quoted £206 per corner fitted inc VAT for Goodyear Eagles by Micheldever Tyres in Winchester.

Little odds as far as prices go with other places...

Micheldever are very competitive for tyres, but I've had a couple of bad experiances with them adjusting tracking incorrecctly

On teh same note about MYTyres.....

I once bought 4 tyres off them and got a nice bargain...I guess its always worth checking for pricing errors on their website !!!!!
Quite impressed they stood over the order too. When the 4 arrived and all was well, I went online to order more.....they went from £55ea to £117 ea lol....

Update:

MyTyres were out of stock. They called back to say they could get them but each tyre would now be £30 more expensive as they could get them, but through a wholesaler instead of Hankook.

Rang Camskill, VERY helpful bloke, same problem though, only via the wholesaler, Hankook said all their tyres of that model were on the water or at the factory. He suggested a US site called TireRack.com as apperently they ship UK reqularly for US cars here.

Tried TireRack.com but they showed no stock.

Stopped in at the local tyre retailer yesterday, he said he could get some Kumhos for £160 a corner fitted. Went back there to confirm, he rang the supplier, they couldnt find the Kumhos but they suggested the Hankook RH06 for the same price. Went full circle then back to the Hankooks from the local bloke! Should have them on tomorrow.

Apparently its a very odd size.

Thanks for all the suggestions,

PB

Have you tried Northants Tyres? believe they are still in existance - used to do tyres for all things American and did my Camaro a few times. AFAIK they no longer fit - only supply
