...torque/power is an original 2004 CV8 clutch good for?

Think I may have just cooked mine attempting a spirited change up to 2nd gear in a wet car park (clutch slipped instead of wheels yikes) and I'm only putting out around 430 bhp at flywheel. Done around 44k miles without previous incident.

That's about where we were moosepig and we had some horrible sticking problems when 'givin' it some.' There is supposedly a fix out there now (speak to Wortec) and IIRC the problem isn't directly related to the clutch (the fluid I think is the issue) which should be ok up to around 480 or even more.

Did you start off in 2nd or did you drop it in 1st and then change up?

308MATE, it was a rolling start at around 5mph, so yes I'd changed up from 1st (but not gone mental while in 1st).

It seemed okay on the drive home last night (25 miles) but I will keep a watchful eye/ear/foot on it for the next few hundred miles to see if there is any permanent damage.
