The dash warning light has just come on in my yr 2000 GTS. I've checked the fuse. Any ideas?
Not the same car I know but I've got an Omega and it did this to me a while back. Haven't been moving the seats back and forth a lot recently ?? The connector under the seat can come loose or wear and not make a 'good' connection. The system realises that theres not enough resistance in the circuit (or too much ??!! don't understand electrics...) and shows the warning light. Had the connector stripped down in mine and it was OK for another few months then it came on again. Got it fixed and then it went again so its now been on for a while. Doesn't necessarily mean it won't work, just a warning that something maybe up. I've heard that you can simply do away with the connector and solder the wires together.......Got to get the Tech 2 machine to reset it.
This is assuming that you have airbags in the seats otherwise ALL that I've written is b*ll*x !!
