How far is your car lowered?

cheers B055, think mine is going down between 40 and 50mm, 2" at the rear and 1.5" (mix of metric and imperial there). Also getting it setup too as changed the tires and gone from borderline to a bag of crap (currently has massive toe-in I think). Can't wait.
won't go to the top of my drive though, so on the slope it is. Just a tiny bit concerned about all the speed humps where I live. It should be ok though as these are tried and tested over speed humps.

Yes, I cannot get over them without some scraping from underneath around the gearbox area & has to be less than 1 mph, so lots of local detours to get home, some car parks have to be avoided too otherwise worth the hinderence factor for big wide open roads & tracks.

You need to use the diff cover or front suspension & a second jack too just to clear the body kit, have had it cracked by someone inexperienced before (replaced f.o.c.), wont'g go on a rolling road I use either without using a couple of jacks with their own wheels but at the end of the day the standard jack will do the job nicely, as I found out after buying two jacks!
I still have not got my VXR and already I am planning mods and researching whats available.
Simple question about the AVO coilovers, are they any good ? The reason I ask is, having worked on Scoobs and fitted a few sets of these over the years they have always only lasted a year to 18 months before they are complteley knackered and need to go back for a rebuild which from past experience takes (on average) 3-4 weeks.
As far as scoobs go I would not touch them with a bargepole any more, are they any different on a HSV/VXR.

I did not realise that KW made a set up for the Monaro, on a Scoob these are rated as one of the better brands and have the advantage of being made in stainless steel, all that salt and crap they throw on our roads over the winter months does for coilovers big time, even if the threads are cleaned and greased regularly.
We commissioned AVO to produce the suspension to our spec and with the exception of a low frequency knock which has now been traced to a Holden part we are very happy with the product they have produced for us.
Our test sets have done over a year and 30,000 miles and they are still working fine.
