Bumper repair?
Discussion
Hi Gareth
I have had plastic bike fairings plastic welded before as for bumpers not sure, material on bumper is normally polyprelene with various additives in it subject to requirements. If you just give any of the plastic welders a call they would tell you, even if you attempted repair and didn't work you still haven't lost as you would more than likely replace bumper in future.

Any good "old school" body shop (by old school, I mean someone who can repair panels not just replace them) should be able to repair your bumper.
I have seen a friend of mine do some remarkable stuff on bumpers with the aid of plastic adhesives/heat/filler and paint.
If the adhesive don't work (because of the plastic type) I have seen him heat up a screwdriver and literally weld the two bits back together again, rubdown, fill and repaint to lave the bumper looking as new.
Where are you ?
He is in Herts.

I recently left my work in a panel shop to go help my mrs expand her business empire. I used to repair Commo bumpers all the time. Not hard at all for a decent panel beater to fix, probably have your car back to you in a day or two as well. Theres a ton of great products out there for plastic repairs, my favourite stuff comes from a company called Lord which markets under the Fusor brand. I havent touched a plastic welder since using these products </shillmode>
