Monaro cv8 battery
Discussion
I was told battery was only covered for 1 year under main warranty. However the car was purchased 9mths ago from network Q dealer. Network Q cover battery for 1 year. But the dealer is refusing to provide battery claiming the car was not sold with networkq warranty but remaining vauxhall warranty instead. That was news to me!! I assumed all network Q used cars had a network Q warranty. Anyone else had a similar problem?

The paperwork provided at point of sale should state if it is a networkq vehicle etc. check the invoice. If it doesnt have any netq stuff in any of your paperwork gonna be difficult to prove, however if there are netq branded bits with the car, ie prep sticker in rear window etc. Then I would argue that it was bought with the benefits of the netq package.
Thanks for the replies, but now sorted, slightly larger sized battery but battery clamp fits ok and for less than £60. The battery I got was Varta blue like this www.tayna.co.uk/batterygroups/30/1148/Batteries.html 75amp and 720cca, so should do the job.
'Greens Vauxhall' thanks for the advice, but I taken the attitude life is too short - although part of me is still amazed by the brazen attitude of the dealer.
The Dealer I bought the monaro from hasn't a clue. He sold the car as 2005 cv8 (354bhp), he had it on a sale or return from a 'Monaro UK' Dealer. After watching a Top Gear repeat, I bought it. Then the following week I found out I had bought a 2004 model reg Jan05. Dealer had to offer partial refunded after initally saying he hadnt misdescribed the car!!!
Then two months later I had a slow puncture, the local tyre depot when removing the lug nuts threaded the stud - as the nuts were put on overtigh. I never had the wheels off the car, the last person to do so was the dealer- who then charged me £175 to fix his mistake. It was a case that I couldn't prove the dealer had over tightened the nuts. So guess where I wont be buying any more cars.
'Baz7175' I live in Coleraine - good photos on your website by the way.
Thanks again for the replies, and even though I've had some hassle with the car, the Monaro still makes me smile every time I drive it.

Good photo Baz, you even managed to get a snap when the car was clean - excellent.
The new battery has done the trick, even thought larger than the one it replaced - no problems. I also now have a trickle charger to keep the battery from draining during periods when the car is not in use.
